BCGuidelines.ca is the brand name of the clinical practice guidelines and protocols published by the Guidelines and Protocols and Advisory Committee (GPAC). GPAC is a joint committee between the Doctors of BC and the Ministry of Health.
GPAC has published over 50 evidence-based guidelines on a variety of clinical conditions and diseases written specifically for BC’s health care practitioners. Other BC Guidelines products include patient guides, summaries and flow sheets.
Each guideline is developed by a working group, whose progress is overseen by GPAC. The working groups are led by a physician chair supported by a Ministry research officer. The membership of the working group includes general practitioners, specialists and other content area experts, as well as a pharmacist.
