The beach access under the bridge is temporarily closed due to construction activities. This page will be updated when it reopens in the spring.

Blasting has begun along Highway 1 east of the bridge and is expected to continue until June 15, 2025. Multiple blasts will occur during daytime full closures (9 am to 3 pm).

Motorists are reminded of current reduced speed limits on Highway 1 near the R.W. Bruhn Bridge, which have been in place since August 2024 due to the temporary bridge railing. Speed reductions are in effect 24/7, even when construction crews are not working.
