Corporate branding allows government to be presented consistently and helps people identify authentic content. It applies to all government content, regardless of the platform.
To provide a consistent user experience using corporate branding:
User experience on one government webpage should be the same on another regardless of ministry, application or website.
Obsolete and legacy web pages that don’t align with current branding give the impression of being out-of-date. Every effort to manage content lifecycles or migrate should be made.
Government Communications and Public Engagement (GCPE) administers all communications for the B.C. government. This authority is described in section 18.3.8 of the Core Policy and Procedures Manual.
Ministries communicating to the public must liaise with their ministry's GCPE communications shop.
