Diagnostic tests and services

Necropsy:
- Disposal only is no longer offered
- Investigation of diagnostic questions beyond the primary disease process will be charged an additional fee based on pathologist time ($150/hour)
- Large animals (>200kg) must be submitted before 2 pm
- Large animals (>200kg) submitters are strongly encouraged to call and/or send the submission form ahead
Pathology:
- Fish pathology service is unavailable
Virology:
- Electron microscopy is now available (updated October 30, 2024)
- Isolation and culture service for avian viruses is available

- The lab will only pool samples if requested by the client, and if the test has been validated for pooled samples.
