Regulation

Production of blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and blackberries is unregulated.

Cranberry production is a regulated industry in B.C. and growers must obtain a license issued by the B.C. Cranberry Marketing Commission and must market the cranberries as approved by the Commission.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has a mandate to ensure a safe food supply for everyone in Canada. Other local, provincial and federal legislation and regulations apply.
