Highway 8 - Sites 1 to 8

Sites 1 to 8 are located between 17.3 km west of Mamit Junction and 16 km east of Spences Bridge.

Overview of the project 

The project will include:

• Design and construction of permanent road surfaces
• Strengthening the road embankment and protecting the highway from erosion.
• Environmental enhancements
• Asphalt paving

Status

• Sites 2, 2A, 3, 3A and 7 are complete
• Construction is underway on sites 4 and 5
• Construction on sites 6 and 8 will begin early 2025
• Construction on Site 1 will begin summer 2025
