Highway 8 - Sites 11-15

Sites 11 to 15 are located between 9.1 to 12 km east of Spences Bridge.

Overview of the project 

The project will include:

• Design and construction of permanent road surfaces
• Line painting and concrete barrier installation
• Strengthening of the road embankment to protect the highway from erosion
• Environmental enhancements

Status

• Planning and design are underway
• Construction will begin in 2025

Project benefits

• These repairs will improve safe access for residents and enhance highway’s climate resiliency for future weather-related events
• Environmental enhancements to improve wildlife habitat and increase vegetation
