Sites 9 to 10 are located between 14 to 15.3 km east of Spences Bridge.
Overview of the project
The project will include:
Replacement of two single lane alternating bridges and construction of approximately 3 km of highway connecting the bridges
Work to prevent rockfall and improve safety along this section of the highway
Local road access will be reconfigured to match the new highway alignment
Environmental enhancements
The project will be completed under a Competitive Alliance Contracting Model, which means the design and construction contractors will work as an integrated team with the Province
Status
Aecon-Emil Anderson Construction General Partnership (AEGP) with their design partners Urban Systems and Basis Engineering have been selected to complete the design and construction
Planning and design are underway and construction will begin in spring 2025
