Boundary Timber Supply Area
Last updated on August 10, 2023The Boundary Timber Supply Area (TSA) is in southern British Columbia in the Kootenay Boundary Region. Covering about 659,000 hectares, it includes the communities of Grand Forks, Greenwood, Midway, Christina Lake, Rock Creek, Bridesville and Beaverdell and is administered by the Selkirk Natural Resource District, Kootenay-Boundary Natural Resource Region.
The Boundary TSA's allowable annual cut (AAC) was adjusted to 670,142 cubic metres (Community Forest Agreement (CFA), effective October 11, 2016). When a CFA is issued, the AAC is adjusted to reflect the land removed from the TSA, per the Allowable Annual Cut Administration Regulation. Generally, a new AAC is set at least once every 10 years.
